The much awaited result of recent times besides World Cup is Movie Artists Association Elections.Today is the judgment day and the verdict has finally come.
The decks are cleared for the counting of votes for the election to the Movie Artistes Association (MAA).
The Namplay city civil court on Wednesday struck off a petition by actor O Kalyan, who challenged the election held on March 29.O.Kalyan approached court citing discrepancies in the MAA polls.O.Kalyan filed a petition against the elections of MAA and the court has taken up the case and directed to record the process of election and asked to wait for further orders.
O Kalyan lodged a petition in the court, alleging irregularities in the AGM among other issues.The petitioner is said to be close to Rajendra Prasad, who is one between the two contestants vying for the MAA President post.
After hearing the arguments Court slapped fine of Rs 10k on O Kalyan who petitioned on frivolous charges.Court expressed anger on the petitioner for wasting the precious time.
Now the counting is likely to start soon and the results are expected by tomorrow.The orders of court turned relief for Murali Moahn panel.
This also means that the court’s ruling has come in favour of MAA President Murali Mohan and his team.
