New Delhi, Aug 16 : Actress Mridula Oberoi, who is currently playing a negative character Nimmi in Ektaa R Kapoor’s’Appnapan’ show, shares some of her memories during the time she finishes her five-year stint in the field. The actress reminisces about her time in Mumbai to fulfill her desires.
She states: “I remember, I arrived in Mumbai with only with three factors: belief, conviction and a goal in life.I had to leave everything that I had, my parents, my child financial security, comfort, a luxurious life that isn’t easy to leave of however, I believed in myself and decided to listen to my heart’s voice.”
She continues to add: “I still remember the day I arrived in the rain while waiting for my taxi.I got home, and explained to my dad this was the place I’ve been looking for in many years of life.The city has certainly transformed me into a better person.I’ve grown, overcome my fear of life and have become in a never-ending direction.”
Originating from Pathankot, Punjab, the actress quit her banking job to pursue her passion in acting.She states that she received a lot of opportunities after moving to Mumbai however, initially it was not easy for her, and she had to put in the effort to improve her acting abilities.
“It was similar to learning on the sets, but I was from an experience in banking.Like you say, hands-on practice makes you learn quicker.Then, I was lucky enough to be able to appear on numerous shows that were popular and the audiences loved my abilities.”
She was in in Bollywood films like ‘Jugjugg Jeezy’ “Love Aaj Kal 2” and appeared on a variety of TV shows , including “Kumkum Bhagya,” “Naagin 6′, ‘Bhagya laxmi and many others.
“I am also able to remember my first appearance on Beyhadh that I performed a cameo appearance for 12 days and only ever spoke a single line in the 12 days.Because it was a well-known show, I was able to be recognized,” shares the actress when she talks about her career in the world of entertainment.
