Patna : , Dec 13, 2013 : .Prof Mohamad Qddus (Vice Chancellor, Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University) Patna has written again to Chief Minister Nitish Karma over the alleged errors in the printing of answer sheets.
A Governor House official and another individual were blamed for putting pressure on him to pay Rs 6 lakh for an agency which printed the answer sheets. Quddus claimed that Vijay Singh (private secretary to Bihar Governor) put pressure on him for money.
This would have enabled the printing of university answer sheets.
We wrote the principal secretary to the Chief Minister (second letter), on December 9, asking for a forensic investigation into the telephone numbers Vijay Singh, Atul Srivastava.
Quddus stated that three other numbers were also provided to us: 9415010066 (9919888608), 6394819121 and 99919888608 for the same.
Atul Srivastava called me on three different mobile phones in order to pay the bill.
Vijay Singh called me using the Governor House exchange and put pressure on me for payment.To find evidence, I demanded the Chief Minister that Vijay Singh, Atul Srivastava and Vijay Singh be investigated forensically.
Quddus also suggested that you check the Governor House’s visitors log to find out how often Atul Srivastava has visited it.
Quddus, a Quddus employee, wrote Nitish Kumar asking for an investigation into the alleged fraud on November 20, and he was able to uncover it.Quddus claimed that Surendra Prasad Singh, the former Vice-Chancellor of India, had hired RSS Service Patna to print answer sheets.RSS Service also sourced answer sheets printing to a Lucknow-based press.
Quddus noted that for many years, the university had been paying Rs 7.50 per answer sheet to BK printing press.
“Singh during his tenure increased the printing rate from Rs 7 to Rs 16 per answer sheet.He had also given an order of 1.60 lakh copies for printing at a total cost of Rs 28 lakh,” Quddus said.
“As the exam date was announced, we paid Rs 22 lakh to the printing press.Atul Srivastava and Vijay Singh are now applying pressure on me to pay the remaining Rs 6 lakh,” he said.
Following the first letter of Quddus, Nitish Kumar had sent Education Minister Vijay Chaudhary to meet Governor Phagu Chauhan, but nothing happened.
Despite Surendra Prasad Singh facing corruption charges, the Governor House awarded him the best vice chancellor in Bihar, just days after Quddus wrote the first letter to the Chief Minister on November 20.
Surendra Prasad Singh filed a defamation suit against Quddus in the Patna district court a week ago.
