New Delhi, November 20 : .A small girl who had been kidnapped in Delhi on November 12, was saved by Delhi Police officers from Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. The official stated that the father of the girl was a New Delhi resident, Uttam Nagar, and that he reported to Mohan Garden Police Station on November 12, his minor 16-year-old daughter missing from her home since 4.30 pm.
Police immediately responded and filed an FIR pursuant to section 363 of Indian Penal Code.
The matter was immediately investigated.
All the required details were fetched across the country during the investigation and the information was sent directly to Doordarshan, CBI, NCRB and CBI,” DCP Shankar Choudhary stated.
It was discovered that the main suspect is a man who worked at a mobile shop nearby.
The victim’s mobile phone numbers, as well as those of friends and suspected people were used for technical surveillance.It did not yield any clues.
The official stated that “but, with the assistance of the Cyber Cell Dwarka the location of both the victim and the accused were zeroed in to Rudrapur (Uttarakhand”
The Rudrapur police station immediately dispatched a team to assist the girl.She was freed on November 18th.
Riyaz Ahmad, an Uttar Pradesh resident, was taken into custody.
Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital performed the medical exam of the victim.
A local court recorded her statement pursuant to section 164 CrPC.The case was closed after the victim’s statement.
Section 6 of the POCSO Law was also added.
The trend in crimes against women in the capital continues to be upwards compared with last year’s statistics.
Over 3000 women were kidnapped by Delhi police this year, raising grave concerns for women’s safety.
According to data, there have been 3,117 kidnaps of women so far, which is more than the 2,226 in 10 months last year.
