I do not believe anyone is responsible and I have clarified the matter offered to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. There is no reason to quit.If it is requested by the CM I will submit my resignation.” Madhuswamy said.

He also claimed that he was respectful to the cabinet member in the discussion.”It is an extremely old audio clip.I don’t remember the last time I spoke to about it.I am respectful of my cabinet and government colleagues,” he said.

“One stranger was provoking me, so I’ve told him that we’re coping,” he said.

The development has embarrassment for the government BJP in Karnataka.

The audio clip of the alleged conversation between Madhuswamy was initially posted by the Congress party, which was taking poking fun at the ruling BJP on social media.

Then, it was threatening to escalate into an emergency when the Minister for Horticulture N.Munirathna asked his colleague to announce his resignation.

Another cabinet member S.T.Somashekar who is in charge of the Cooperation ministry said it’s not right to allow Minister Madhuswamy to speak out about his work.

Bommai, on the other hand, claimed that there is no reason for any person to paint a false image of the statement made by Madhuswamy about the ruling BJP government.”The Minister has made the statement in an entirely different situation,” he said.

“I spoke to him, but there is no reason for a false depiction. The conversation was conducted prior to three months in an event that was related to the Cooperative department.Everything is going well in the state. There isn’t any issue,” CM Bommai maintained.

The audio clip is believed to contain the conversations between Madhuswamy and social worker Bhaskar.

Bhaskar discusses cooperative bank officials requesting an amount of Rs.1,300 to renew the Rs.50,000 loan taken by farmers.Madhuswamy accepts his request and claims that, even though the matter is brought to attention of the Cooperation Minister S.T.Somashekar there has been no change.

“There is no government that is functioning, we’re just managing things and pushing for eight months before the next election for the assembly,” Madhuswamy tells Bhaskar.

The Congress said via social media that this was an iconic case of incompetence of the ruling BJP government.

The BJP government functions as a corruption control service.

There is no more convincing reason to be more convinced of the lack of competence of the Bommai government and the injustice that it has done to farmers, the report said.
