Taipei, Nov 29, : .MediaTek unveiled the 4nm Dimensity-9000 chipset at its Tech Summit last week.
A new report claims that the chipset will cost nearly twice as much as its 5G predecessor. Digital Chat Station claims that high-end smartphones with the new chipset will be more expensive than those powered by Dimensity 1200.
The market will see the first smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity9000 chipset in February 2022.
MediaTek Dimensity9000 includes a single Cortex X2 performance core at 3.05GHz, three Cortex A710 cores at 2.85GHz, and four Cortex A510 efficiency cores of 1.8GHz.
According to the report, it has a 10-core Arm Mali G710 that handles graphics processing.
The chipset comes with MediaTek’s fifth generation APU with six cores for AI processing.
The chipset can handle Full HD+ resolutions at up to 180Hz refresh rate.
It is also the first chipset to feature an 18-bit image processor.This allows for 4K HDR video capture with up to three cameras simultaneously, and still photos using a huge 320MP sensor.
MediaTek Dimensity 9000 supports Wi Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.It also supports 3CC carrier aggregate for sub-6HZ 5G, with top data speeds up to 7Gbps.
