Lucknow, Nov 30, : Chief Mayawati of Bahujan Samaj Party, (BSP), on Tuesday said that he would ‘take care of’ all sections of society, including OBCs. Mayawati addressed a press conference and stated that she had called a meeting of Jats and Muslims and asked them to join the BSP fold.
“I want it to be clear that we will contest all 403.seats on our own and there won’t be any alliances.She said that if we form government again, as we did in 2007, I can assure you that we will take care all communities, OBCs, and Dalits.She said that Muslims feel fearful and insecure.
Mayawati also criticized the BJP governments for trying to deny the benefits of reservation to the weaker sections and refusing to agree to caste census.
The president of the BSP stated that her party would be focusing on winning all 86 reserved Assembly seats.
2017 saw the BSP win two of the 86 seats, while the BJP won 70 seats.
