Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), November 26 : .The Mathura rape victim was gang-raped in an automobile and tried to commit suicide by taking poison. On Thursday night, she was admitted to a private hospital.
The main suspect in the gang-rape has been arrested by the police.
The car involved in the incident was also recovered by the police.Tejveer, the main accused in the gang-rape, is currently being questioned.
It is possible to recall that the accused and three of his accomplices gang-raped the victim, who was returning home from appearing for the Uttar Pradesh police subinspector recruitment exam.
The main accuser was a Facebook friend who offered to give her a lift.
The accused committed the crime and fled the scene.
The police scanned CCTV cameras and initiated electronic surveillance to trace the main suspect and arrested him on Thursday.
The car involved in the incident was also recovered by the police.
According to the victim’s relatives, the police changed the case of alleged Gang-rape to one of rape by one.This upset the victim.
Agra Range Inspector General (IG), Nachiketa Jiha, and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Gaurav Grover arrived at the hospital on Thursday night to take the victim’s statement and assure her of justice.
The Uttar Pradesh State Human Rights Commission has ordered Mathura’s Senior Superintendent to Police to have the matter investigated by a competent officer and submit a report within 24-hours.
