Chennai 9th August : Aruna Guhan, one of the Creative Directors of AVM Productions, the oldest production house in the country, has revealed that the famous role actor Manorama performed in the Tamil iconic film “Samsaram Adhu minsaram” was originally not mentioned in the script. Guhan said that the film was later added on the request of her grandfather who was also the director of the film.
On Instagram, Aruna Guhan, who has established a routine to post interesting facts about Tamil film, wrote an article titled”The remarkable character that was not in the original story.’
In her article, she said, “When the story of ‘Samsaram’ written, the character of Manorama Achi wasn’t in the narrative.My thatha (grandfather) believed that the need for a strong female role model was required that could travel throughout the tale and relay powerful messages with humor.”
He asked them to change the script, but director Visu believed that it could make the story less compelling.
He returned to work and then four days later came back to Thatha and said, “Sir, this character has been so strongly incorporated into the moviethat the whole essence of the film could not have been achieved without her.
“Manorama Achi in all her glory will remain one of the most famous artists for her contributions to every persona she played, aside from being a truly inspirational human being.”
The film”Samsaram Adhu Minsaram,” is considered to be to be a landmark in Tamil cinema.It brought to the forefront the struggles of women in middle-class family.
