Kolkata, Nov 30, : , Chief Minister Mamata Bangerjee will be making a three-day trip to Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon.
Although the Trinamool Congress has stated that she will be going to Mumbai for an industry-meet, political observers believe that the chief minister will not only try to attract investors for the state but also attempt to unite the Opposition in opposition to the BJP government at the centre.

The chief minister will arrive in Mumbai in the evening.It is possible that Ajit Pawar, deputy chief minister, will be there to welcome her.A number of leaders from the Shiv Sena as well as NCP will also be there to welcome her.

It is interesting that Mamata will be accompanied by Abhishek Banerjee, the national general secretary of Trinamool Congress.However, he will reach Mumbai at evening.

Mamata was invited to speak at the Mumbai Industries Meet, where she will encourage industrialists to invest Bengal.

She will invite investors from Mumbai and across the country to attend the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), which is scheduled for April.

The chief minister will meet Sharad Pawar, NCP leader, to attract investors.This meeting is politically significant.Pawar’s experience and assistance will be invaluable to Banerjee as she tries to establish her own identity in national politics.She will try to convince Pawar to make him a prominent figure in the politics of opposition.

Although Banerjee was scheduled to meet Uddhav Thackerey, chief minister Maharashtra has informed him that he may not be able for her to meet him due to his health.

According to party insiders, Mamata Banerjee would like to meet the most prominent person in national politics of her opposition.

This meeting is also significant as the TMC is looking to expand its national footprint.

Banerjee spearheads efforts to unite Opposition party against the Bharatiya Janata Party, (BJP), ahead of the 2024 general election in the country.Several prominent leaders joined the Trinamool in recent times with the departure of 12 Congress MLAs from Meghalaya, the state’s former CM Mukul Singma being the most recent.

Popular names, including tennis star Leander Pales, were also inducted into the party during her recent political visit in Goa.
