We could fly the’saffron flag’ above Mantralaya,” Raut added without naming Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party.

This was a reference to the removal of the BJP from the Assembly elections a few years back and the Shiv Sena Nationalist Congress Party-Congress government headed by Chief Minister Uddhav Thckeray being elected in November 2019.

The Sena leader spoke at an event in this city and also discussed the repealing of three farm laws.He cited how the “Quit India” Movement led to the fall of British monarchs in 1947.

Raut stated that “This time the people are mad and they wouldn’t have bothered to look who the Prime Minister is or the Home Minister. That’s why 3 (farm land) laws were repealed.”

He said that Sena will win the upcoming Nashik Municipal Corporation election by securing at least 100 of the 122 seat and unseating the ruling BJP.

Raut commented on Chandrakant Patil, BJP’s state president, calling Friday’s decision by the PM “unfortunate”.Raut stated that if Patil is truly feeling sad, then “we will send him a consolation note and organize a condolence meet.”

Patil replied that the government could not convince certain people about the farm laws so they were repealed.Leader of the Opposition Devendra Fadnavis claimed the PM displayed ‘rare magnanimity by removing the laws.

Social groups, farmland activists and the ruling MVA allies hailed Friday’s PM’s decision.

They called it a “victory” for peasants who had been agitating since the beginning of this year.
