Mumbai, November 17, 2017 : .Officials said Wednesday that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), had arrested two Army havaldars as well as an Indian Air Force civilian officer, for separate allegations of corruption.
According to a complaint lodged with the CBI, the two army officials of the Southern Command in Pune had informed the complainant that he was selected for the post of MTS in the examination conducted by the Army Ordnance Corps, Pune.CBI received a complaint from the CBI stating that two officials in Pune’s Southern Command had told the complainant that they were selected by the Army Ordnance Corps to fill the position of MTS.

The complainant even received a call letter asking him to join the Ordnance Factory, Wardha, by November 19.Even a phone call asking the complainant to join Wardha’s Ordnance Factory was sent by Wardha.

Under the pretext of carrying out his early joining formalities, the accused duo — Susant Nahak and Naveen — took away the original call letter from the complainant and allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 2.50 lakh for its return.The accused couple — Susant Nahak & Naveen — pretended to be performing his early-joining formalities and took the call letter away from the complainant.They then demanded Rs 2.50 lakh as a bribe for it’s return.

They finally agreed for an amount of Rs 50,000, of which Rs 30,000 was transferred through PhonePay to the account of one of the accused.The accused agreed to pay Rs.50,000.Rs.30,000 was then transferred via PhonePay to one of their accounts.

Later, they came to the complainant seeking the remaining of Rs 20,000, but in the process walked into the trap laid by the CBI.They later came to the complainant for the remainder of Rs.20,000 but fell into the CBI trap.

In the second case, the CBI nabbed a civilian officer, Suryakant Sangale, of IAF, Pune, for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 50,000 and accepting Rs 4,000 as the first instalment from a complainant in return for his transfer to another location.

Suryakant Sangale (civil officer) of IAF Pune was arrested by the CBI.He had allegedly demanded Rs.50,000 in bribes and accepted Rs.4,000 in the first installment from a complainant to facilitate his transfer of funds to another place.

Later, the CBI raided the premises of the three accused and collected other incriminating evidence and documents.The CBI later raided the residences of three suspects and collected additional incriminating documents.
