Bollywood Actress Madhuri Dixit landed in troubles for endorsing famous noodles product Maggi.Its known that the 2-minute noodles ‘Maggi’ has come under regulatory scanner after samples collected in some parts of UP were found containing added monosodium glutamate (MSG) and lead in excess of the permissible limit.

According to reports, the Lucknow Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) has initiated an inquiry into the matter.It has written to the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) in New Delhi urging it to cancel the licence of Maggi.

As Madhuri is brand ambassador for Maggi she received notices from Lucknow Food Safety and Drug Administration.Haridwar Food and Drug Administration on Friday served a notice to her on the claims made in the advertisement.

The notices asks Dixit to respond within 15 days on an ad that talked about the nutrition value of Maggi noodles.

Meanwhile the Lucknow Food Safety and Drug Administration has initiated inquiry and written to the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) in New Delhi seeking to cancel the licence for Maggi.
