Los Angeles, Aug 13 : The pop icon Madonna isn’t a fan of her teeth because she believes they’re “ugly”.She has stated that this is the reason why she wears mouthguards to cover the teeth. Often seen with jewelry over her gnashers, the pop star of 63 has finally spoke out about the reasons she decided to alter her appearance with custom-designed bling for the mouth and said she is worried that her teeth don’t look nice, as reported by aceshowbiz.com.
In an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she showed off her latest grill piece she told the host, “I’ve received these new grills and if I begin smoking, what will you let me know about it?’ Jimmy responded, “Ooh they’re beautiful! I am in love with them.”
The “Material Girl” star continued to explain she purchased the grills built as a special birthday gift for her as she is getting ready turning 64 on August 16th.She said: “They’re my ‘birthday grills’.It’s getting close to my birthday so I bought myself an assortment of grills.”
Madonna then informed her host she has worn mouthpieces for “decades” and explained the reasons why she wears a mouthguard.She stated: “People have a problem with my grills, but I don’t know the reason .I love the look of it.it’s mouth jewellery .I’m very ugly with my teeth.”
In the course of her interview Madonna was still unsure if her new accessory was causing her to snort and decided to pull it off until the interviewer stopped her.
She told her: “No, don’t! It looks cool!”
