The Adipurush team recently revealed the first song, titled “Jai Shri Ram,” from director Om Raut’s new movie.Renowned lyricist Manoj Muntashir explains that while the song serves as the theme for the film starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, another song called “Ram Siya Ram” is dedicated to the love between the lead couple.
The composition of “Jai Shri Ram” began with Ajay-Atul, who created the music before the lyrics were penned.Muntashir and Om Raut instantly recognized the divine essence of the song when they first heard it.Their aim was to convey the magnificence of Lord Ram through this musical piece.On the other hand, “Ram Siya Ram” focuses on the relationship and love shared between Lord Ram and Sita Devi.
The song also emphasizes the significance of the Ramayana in our lives.
Adipurush, featuring Saif Ali Khan alongside Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, is a highly ambitious film slated for release in 2023.
Muntashir drew inspiration from the renowned poet Tulsidas for this project, given the movie’s subject matter, which is based on the epic Ramayana.He incorporated Tulsidas’ thoughts into the album, skillfully blending them with contemporary language and culture to resonate with the audience of today.
Collaborating with Raut proved to be a perfect match for Muntashir.The director’s extensive study of various versions of the Ramayana made him well-versed in the scriptures.Kriti Sanon, who portrays the character of Sita in the film, expressed her belief that “Adipurush” is a special and blessed project to be a part of.She emphasized the film’s importance in preserving and appreciating our culture and history, particularly for younger generations.
