Dharamsala 26 December : .His Holiness, the Dalai Lama wrote a letter addressed to Mpho Tutu, Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s daughter immediately after he was informed of his death. He wrote that he would accept his condolences and send them to the mother of the deceased.He is my prayer.
Your father and mine shared a strong friendship over the years.It is easy to recall the numerous times we shared time together.
I especially remember our week at Dharamsala 2015, when we could share our ideas on ways to bring joy and peace to the world.We treasured the friendship and spiritual connection that we shared.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu was completely dedicated to the service of his sisters and brothers for the greater good.A true humanitarian, he was also a passionate advocate for human rights.
He was an inspiration to many around the globe through his work with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
We have lost a wonderful man who had lived an extraordinary life.
His passion was to serve others, particularly those less fortunate.My belief is that the greatest tribute to him, and how to keep his spirit alive, is to follow in his footsteps and continue to look for ways we can help others.
