Andhra Pradesh government has recommended the name of media baron and E TV head Ramoji Rao for the prestigious Padma Vibhushan award this year.The government on Monday sent a list of 30 names and the list includes several big names like Murali Mohan; Rajendra Prasad and Dr Soma Raju.
The list was approved by AP CM Chadrababu and the same was sent to union ministry.Union home ministry will scrutinize and announce the final list in November.
The list of Padma recommendations are as follows:
Padma Vibhushan:
Ramoji Rao and Dr Nageswar Reddy
Padma Bhushan:
Murali Mohan, Dr Soma Raju, Mannam Gopichand, Ananda Sankara Jaynthi and Chaganti Koteswara Rao.
Padma Shri:
Rajendra Prasad (actor) Veturi Sundara Ramamurthy (lyricist), Vandemataram Srinivas (music), Ramanayya (venkatagiri weaver), Pasumarthi Rattaih Sarma (kuchipudi dance), Madduri Venkateswarayazulu (vedic scholar), and Harika (chess), Kidambi Srikanth (badminton),Dr Yarlagadda Nayudamma, Dr Gopala Krishna Gokhale, Dr Chandrasekara Rao Simhadri, Dr Mohan Vamsi, Dr Dasaradharami Reddy etc.
