Forbes magazine has announced world’s most powerful persons for the year 2015.Russian President Vladimir Putin has been named world’s most powerful person by Forbes .
The Russian President has topped the Most Powerful People list, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel coming in second place.
Angela Merkel took over the second spot from U.S.President Barack Obama, who dropped to third.Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi moved from #15 to 9th spot this year.
Industrialist Mukesh Ambani is the other Indian to feature in the list.
Ambani at #36 has retained his last year’s position.Forbes said several factors were taken into account to select the most powerful people.The factors including the amount of money they control, the number of people they impact and how actively they wield their power.
