New Delhi, Aug 30 : Amid speculation that Congress leader Shashi Tharoor will contest the election for party president’s position, BJP leader Amit Malviya on Tuesday advised him to take lessons from the past.In wishing Tharoor best of luck in the election, Malviya stated that he should take the lessons that history has to teach.
He recommended to stay clear of charter planes and flights in particular.
“If news reports of Shashi Tharoor planning to contest the Congress President are true, he should immediately stop using public toilets and avoid flying charter planes, choppers, or chartered planes, in particular.
He should take the wisdom that history has to teach.Good luck!” Malviya said in a tweet.
Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Tharoor had aired his opinion in an everyday newspaper in the Tamil language on the necessity of a contest for the top post in the party just a few of days back.
When the story became viral, it led to the possibility that he could throw his hat in the ring to compete for the top post in the party.But, Tharoor clarified on Tuesday by declaring, “I never said that I would contest and the rest will be discussed in the future.”
