Lakhmehar holds a two-shot lead in the 14th Leg of Women’s Pro Golf Tour

Kolkata, Dec 8, 2008 : Lakhmehar Pardesi won her maiden Women’s Pro Golf Tour win earlier this year.She was at the top on the leaderboard at the end the first round at the Tollygunge Golf Club’s Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour.
Lakhmehar, a tall and lean player, shot 1-over 71.None of the field managed to score below par on the Par-70 course.Ridhima Dilawari was second, with Lakhmehar leading by two shots.She is also looking to get back in the winners’ circle after a long absence.

Saaniya Sharma was third with 74, while Jyotsana Sing, amateur Jahnavi Prakhya, and Shweta Mansingh were tied at fourth with 75.

Lakhmehar had a slow start with three bogeys in five holes.However, a birdie on the second kept her going.She was one-over after her eighth birdie.

She parred the back nine from 10th to 14th before bogeying 15th.She finished at 1-over after back-to-back birdies on 16 & 17.However, a disappointing bogey on 17 left her tied for second.

Ridhima won the first event in 2021 and hopes to win the second.

She made birdies on sixth and seventh holes, and 10th on the final hole.However, her gains were canceled by bogeys at second, fourth, and ninth.

She was even after 13 with pars on the next three holes.She was only able to finish the round at 13 over with pars on the next 3 holes.

Saaniya, seeking her first success in 2021, had three birdies and a double, against a single birdie on 13.

Amateurs Smriti Bhargav & Nishna Pale were sixth and seventh, respectively, with scores of 76 & 77, while Neha Tripathi & amateur Zara Anand were tied at ninth after rounds of each 78.
