Uttar Pradesh police arrested Ashish Mishra in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence incident, which has created a stir across the country.Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra, was questioned by the police for 12 hours on October 9.

Four farmers were killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident.

Police have issued notices to Ashish Mishra in connection with the murder of the farmers.Notices were issued once again for not attending the hearing on Friday.He appeared in court on Saturday.

Ashish Mishra was arrested at 11 pm after a lengthy interrogation.

Police tried to take Ashish Mishra away from the media and he would stay in judicial custody for 14 days.
