Lakhimpur Kheri (Uttar Pradesh), November 14 : In an interesting twist, eight of the 90 Witnesses in the Lakhimpur Kheri trial in which Ashish misra, the son of Union Minister for State for Home Ajay Mitra Teni, are requesting that their Security be removed by the police.These Witnesses have written to the local administration in this regard.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Arun Kumar Singh, who is also a member of the nine-member special investigation committee probing the incident, said, “Eight key Witnesses have submitted applications wanting their Security to be withdrawn citing personal reasons.Arun Kumar Singh (ASP) is the Additional Superintendent of Police.He is also a member the nine-member special investiga committee probing the incident.Their applications will be reviewed before removing security.”.They will be examined before Security is removed.
The local police declined to reveal the identity of the Witnesses who want their Security removed.
The Witnesses, who requested their Security to be removed from the local police station, were not allowed to be identified by them.
It may be recalled that on October 3, Violence erupted after an SUV mowed down four farmers near the Banbirpur village under Tikunia police circle of Lakhimpur Kheri.
