For the second year in a row, the ‘Jagannanna Chedodu’ cash release program has started for the welfare of Rajakas, Nai Brahmins and tailors in the state.Speaking on the occasion, CM YS Jagan said, “We are preparing for another good program.” “We are helping 2.85 lakh people under Jagananna Chedodu,” with crediting Rs 285.35 crore in bank accounts.
1,46,103 tailors with shops were given Rs.146.10 crore, 98.44 crore to 98,439 shopkeepers and 40,808 Nai Brahmins with shops worth Rs.40.81 crore.He said the scheme was being implemented transparently without resorting to bribery and discrimination.
He said the fee reimbursement was watered down by the previous government.
CM Jagan said that in the name of help, poor quality equipment was given in the past.
He said commissions were taken in providing assistance.He said 60 per cent of the ministerial posts were given to SC, ST, BC and minorities.He recalled that the post of Speaker of the Legislative Assembly was also given to the BCs.427 MPP posts were given to SC, ST, BC and minorities.Of the 32 MLCs, 18 were allotted to SCs, STs, BCs and minorities, while 9 out of 13 Zilla Parishad posts were allotted to SCs, STs, BCs and minorities, the CM said.
He said the government has created 20,000 permanent jobs since its inception.
