Kuwait City, Nov 28, : Kuwait has decided to suspend direct flights with nine African nations over the new Covid-19 Omicron variant. Kuwait’s Center for Government Communication announced that direct commercial flights will be suspended with South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.
Kuwaiti citizens from these countries will be quarantined for seven days beginning November 28th.They will need to undergo a PCR test upon arrival and another one on the sixth day.
Non-Kuwaitis from these countries, regardless of whether they arrive directly or through other countries will be prohibited from entering the country unless they remain in a third nation for at least 14 consecutive days.
Kuwait’s government urged citizens not to travel to these countries, except in cases of emergency.
