Mumbai 5 Aug : Veteran Kumar Sanu’s daughter Shanon K has paid tribute to her father with an updated version of the song “Pehla Pehla Pyar’. The song’s creator, Kumar Sanu said: “When Shannon called me for permission to remake my previous song I was nervous of the idea, as I knew that people would have plenty of expectations from the song.
“Shannon is a very talented artist with an unique voice, so I was determined to force her to explore and let her try my own style on this track.However, she exceeded my expectations.Her mutable voice creates an intense emotion, and also conveys delicate and vulnerable shades in the track.”
Sanu stated that she has created a sense of image in the west, and it brings him great joy to watch her do exactly the same in her homeland too.
The song will be released on August 5 on digital platforms owned by Sony Music.
The heartfelt and soulful track is extremely unique to Shannon because it isn’t just her first Hindi song, but it is also an ode to her father Kumar Sanu and his song.
The track was written and composed by Annabelle who graduated in direction from the LA Film School.
The music video was made in Los Angeles keeping the visuals simple and in tune with the mood of the song.
This way, people are able to focus on the music more than they do the video.
Speaking about the track, Shannon K said: “This song is very dear to my heart because it is the first time I’ve attempted to recreate my father’s song so I had to ensure I matched the quality of the song.This is by far the most memorable song because my dad was with me through the entire process.The song is not just one of my favorite songs, but I also had the legend himself to guide me.”
