K’taka Cong’s use of Metro to move employees was appreciated by the workers.

Bengaluru 17 August, Bengaluru : The choice of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president D K Shivakumar to switch the method of transportation of hundreds of thousands of party members to Namma Metro has been much welcomed by newbies and Bengalureans.
The Congress had arranged for the purchase of 80,000 Metro tickets on August 15 to allow workers from the party to reach the location of the National College Grounds in Basavanagudi to participate in the rally to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Independence on the Monday.

A large number of party members who came from all over the state made their first trip in the Metro trains.They praised the party’s leadership for giving them the chance to go on a journey in the Metro trains.

The buses from all over the state were placed in the closest locations to Metro stations that are located in the outside of the city in all directions.If the buses or other vehicles were to be allowed to enter the city, Bengaluruans would have faced a nightmare on the roads.

Techies, software engineers who returned from their holidays to Bengaluru on the same day to go to work the next day, would have been trapped in the jam for hours.But they managed to escape the pain as thousands of Congress employees returned to the outside of the city by Metro rail.

Suryamukundraj General Secretary of the state Congress said that the entire plan was devised by Shivakumar and his brother, Member of the Parliament D K Suresh.”Shivakumar was at the entrance of Majestic Metro Railway Station to guide the party members.Knowing that the event that Congress workers arrived at the location in their cars the city’s traffic could be clogged and the Metro ride was planned.”

In the meantime, Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) set records on August 15 since it registered the highest of of people who walked through its doors since its beginning.

According to the figures released by BMRCL up to 8,25,190,190 people traveled in the Metro on August 15 , which is the highest level since its beginning in the year 2011.The previous record was 6.19 lakh people who walked on the 25th of October, 2019.
