Bengaluru 17 August : The “Muslim area” comment made by the opposition leader Siddaramaiah has led to controversy in Karnataka with the ruling BJP declaring that the comment could encourage polarization. Congress leader Siddaramaiah when he spoke about the stabbing incident that was reported in Shivamogga district in connection with taking down Veer Savarkar’s flex explained the reason why it was set up in an area that is Muslim majority region?
The BJP’s national general secretary C.T.stated on Wednesday “Siddaramaiah What is your definition of “Muslim region”? In your constant display of Jihadi mentality you are showing yourself that you are more dangerous than Jihadis who slaughter innocent people.I challenge you to engage in a public debate about nationalist Veer Savarkar and the tyrant Tipu Sultan.”
“This mentality has resulted in the Partition of several nations.What is the purpose of the constitution of the nation? It is not accurate to declare that the flex shouldn’t be used in Muslim majorities.The speech of Siddaramaiah is untrue,” Ravi added.
Ravi added that the mentality of Siddaramaiah will inspire those who seek to divide the country.
“Does he mean that if it is an Muslim region, it should be permitted to be included in Pakistan? If it’s an Muslim area, other countries should not be allowed to enter in there? He should retract his statement as soon as possible,” he said.
“I do not know if Siddaramaiah was in his right mind at the time he made this comment.The way of being able to think in terms of “Hindu” and ‘Muslim has led to the Partition of this country,” he added.
