The Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) will meet on August 27 to discuss the Krishna river water issue between both Telugu states.The meeting will be held at the Hyderabad Board office.
At this meeting, the KRMB would discuss several issues, and it will take decisions accordingly.
As per the reports, the KRMB mainly discusses water availability in the Krishna river basins, water allocations to the Telugu states, the implementation of the Central Gazette notification from October, the scope of irrigation projects in the two states on the Krishna river, etc.In this meeting.The Krishna River Management Board has decided to hold a meeting at Jalasoudha in Hyderabad at 11 am on August 27.
According to the decision taken at the first meeting of the Krishna River Management Board, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have reached a tentative agreement to use 66 per cent of the available water in the river Krishna.However, due to the increasing demand for drinking and cultivating water in Telangana, the Telangana government has written a letter to the KRMB to allot an equal share of the Krishna river water from this year.
