Protests continue, Kisan Maha Panchayat stands firm on its demands

Lucknow 22 Nov : .Monday’s Kisan Maha Panchayat was a firm repetition of six points of Prime Minister’s demands from farmers.
Sanyukta Kisan Morcha is an umbrella organization of farmers’ unions.It stated that the protests would go on until their demands were satisfied, which included a guarantee of minimum support prices and the dismissal of Ajay Misrateni as Union Minister.

Rakesh Takait, spokesperson for BKU, stated that the ‘andolan’ will continue until all of our demands have been met.Similar panchayats will be held across the country, and anyone who believes that this issue is resolved has sadly been misled.

MSP Guarantee was his main demand, he said.

Ashish Misra, his son is currently in prison.

Tikait stated that he learned that the government had a new policy regarding dairy development, and that farmers should be involved in the decision.

He stated that the next farmers’ meeting would take place at Delhi border on November 26,

The farmers demanded that land be given to Singhu at the border in honor of those who died during the uprising.

Tikait sought also compensation for the surviving families.

Other demands were for the withdrawal of the Power Regulation Amendment Bill and all related cases to Delhi’s border agitation, as well as stubble burning.

On Sunday, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha outlined six conditions to Prime Minister in an open letter and threatened to keep the agitation going if they failed to address these issues with farmers.
