Mumbai, 23 Nov : .As Bishan Khosla continues to be at odds in the web drama courtroom drama ‘Your Honor 2,’ Eeshwar Niva, show director, says it is difficult for storytellers to keep the moral compass high. The show features a dad who happens to be a High Court judge and is forced to the ground in an attempt to save his son.
Jimmy Shergill plays the role of Bishan Khosla.After the hit-and-run case Bishan had to rescue his son Abeer.He shot an individual who was connected with a mafia organization.Bishan’s situation becomes more complicated.
When Nivas was asked if it felt necessary to keep the moral compass high on a show such as “Your Honor 2”, where everybody is doing something morally wrong and everyone else is contributing, the National Award-winning Director shared his views with IANS.
IANS asked him: “Well, it’s an adaptation from an Israeli web series ‘Kvodo,’ so the first interpretation was done by Ishan Trivedi, who set the story in India’s heartland.You can see that every country and every village has its own socio-cultural and moral practices and values.
It is difficult to keep the moral compass high for a show director, as every character is important.
It is crucial to justify their actions.
Right or wrong, each action is the result of the emotional and physical turmoil in which they find themselves.A father will sacrifice everything for his child, regardless of how righteous or unjustifiable he may be as a judge, especially when it is clear that what occurred was not the best thing.It was to make them believe.
Even though something is wrong morally, it is not difficult to create a logic structure.
The question is, as the director of the show, how does his moral compass play into the show?
Nivas replied, “As an author, I prefer to leave the decision up to my audience.Not every movie or show can be viewed as either an opinion or statement.
Rama and Ravana are both equally important in the Ramayana.Instead of picking one side, wise minds would see both sides objectively.
The toughest call for both a director and a writer is the one about the end.This is exactly why we shouldn’t pick sides but let the audience decide.He said, “I feel that my job as storyteller is not to give an answer but to ask the question.”
