KCR govt has decided to set up 7 new medical colleges in Telangana: KTR

The Telangana state government has given a green signal to set up 7 new medical colleges in the state.Minister KTR revealed that the decision was taken at the recent cabinet meeting.

Minister KTR confirmed this on his Twitter platform.Taking to his official Twitter platform, Minister KTR tweeted, “The medical colleges will be set up in Sangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Vanaparthy, Mahabubabad, Jagityala, Kothagudem, and Manchiryala.”

KTR said that there are only four medical colleges in the joint Andhra Pradesh state.He explained that after the formation of Telangana, 5 colleges were set up under the KCR government.

He said seven more medical colleges would be established soon.The Cabinet has decided to set up 13 nursing colleges with 100 seats each.

The Telangana government has also decided to vaccinate students going abroad.

Recently, the Telangana government clarified that journalists, RTC employees and merchants, who were considered as superspreaders, should be vaccinated prior.

KTR revealed that the guidelines regarding this will be released soon.

On the other hand, the Telangana government has decided to extend the lockdown till June 10 as a part of control measures for Covid-19.
