Varanasi 24 Nov : .A statue of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar the Maratha queen will be installed at Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor.

It is expected to be inaugurated on December 13 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The temple complex will also include statues of Aadi Sankaracharya and Bharat Mata as well as Lord Kartikeya.

Deepak Agrawal, Divisional Commissioner, stated that the installation of prefabricated temples in the KV temple premises began the process of restoring idols of Goddess Parvati and Goddess Annapurna, Lord Ganesh and Lord Hanuman.

Agrawal stated that the installation of statues of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar and Adi Shankaracharya as well as Bharat Mata, Lord Kartikeya, has been initiated.

KV Dham will install the statue of Adi Shankaracharya at the entry point to the ghat that runs along the Ganga.

The statue of Maharani Ahilyabai will be installed near the tourist facilitation center, while Bharat Mata’s statue will be located near Mandir Chowk.

KVT is home to the statue of Lord Kartikeya.Each statue measures 6.5 feet tall and will be placed on stone pedestals.

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which was built by Maharani Ahilyabai Hokar in 1977, is currently undergoing massive renovations and development.

Chief Minister Yogi Amityanath had requested the authorities in November 2018 to install the statue of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar as a tribute to her efforts in rebuilding KVT in 1777, after it was destroyed during the Mughal period.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar.

He helped to create facilities that allow pilgrims to visit the shrine without any hassle.
