Kartikeya Singh’s lawyer dispels claims Minister is not in affluence

Patna 18 Aug : The attorney of Bihar’s law minister Kartikeya Singh Kartik Master, alias Kartik Master said that the accusation made against him is unsubstantiated and that there is no truth in the allegations.
“Our client Kartikeya Singh has not received a warrant or notice from the sub-divisional courts until August 16.He is not an wanted person.He had filed an anticipatory bail in the Patna High Court which asked him to appear in the lower court, and to follow the instructions,” said Madhusudan Sharma the attorney of Kartikeya Singh.

“We have learned that a bailable warrant was issued to him, but the warrant did not mention that he must surrender in the court.He is not aware of the warrant nor notice from the court” Sharma said.

“The incident was registered in Bihta police station, but the name of Kartikeya Singh was not mentioned in the FIR.The victim recorded the declaration within the CrPC of 164.He only stated that during the time he was abducted, he saw Kartikeya Singh was driving.Police have conducted an investigation and the authorities have not discovered any evidence of involvement in the investigation.In the end, Patna police filed the final report to the court, and the name of Kartikeya Singh was not mentioned.” Sharma elaborated.

“The warrant was issued by the sub-divisional court of Danapur.I do not know of the latest evidence that was presented in the court to support him.The court has the authority to authorize an arrest warrant for anyone,” he said.

Kartikeya Singh was sworn in as Law Minister on Tuesday in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet.
