Mumbai 13 Aug : Kareena Kapoor Khan’s extravagant Poo from “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” is one of the most loved and memorable roles in her career.The Bollywood star herself is amazing that after more than 21 years of the release of the film, the character is still popular with all age groups. Kareena’s character Poo is not just famous for her style in fashion but also for one of her quips, such as “Kaun hai yeh jisne dobara dobara mudke mu dekha”, ‘P.H.A.T – Pretty Hot and Attractive and “Tumhe Koi Haq Naya Banta ki the tum itni khoobsurat lago.It’s not fair” among other.
When asked whether she believes that Poo deserves a movie her, Kareena, in conversation with IANS told IANS: “Oh God! Like I believe that Poo is so pertinent with the current generation, more so than it was in the past.”
Kareena discusses the qualities that make the character, which originates from Chandni Chowk in New Delhi and then relocates to London with her sister, played by Kajol and brother-in law which is played by Shah Rukh Khan, have so many fans.
“I believe that because of her manner of speaking, the way she is, and the way she speaks about the kind of Gen-Z-like millennial words she employs are connected somehow.”
The actress of 41 years added: “So, I think it’s because of this more than anything else.Let’s watch a film one day and we’ll see.”
Kareena’s most recent release is ‘Laal Singh Chddha”, which features Aamir Khan.The film is a remake of Tom Hanks’ iconic film ‘Forest Gump’.
It also features Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya.
