Lucknow, Nov 26th : .The family of Kanshi Ram, founder of Bahujan Samaj Party, has stated that they will support anyone who defeats Mayawati at the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Kanshi Ram’s younger sister, and nephew, have accused Mayawati that she took over the party for her family members.
They are visiting Lucknow to attend a programme organized by Savitribai Phule, a former MLA.
“Mayawati is anti Constitutional and has ended the party Kanshi Ram Ji had started,” said Swarn Kaur, Kanshi Ram’s sister.Swarn Kaur (Sister of Kanshi Ram) said that she has made the party a family business and cannot help the poor.
Swarn Kaur, the Kanshi Ram Foundation’s head, stated that the family is not affiliated with any political party.
Lakhbir Singh, her nephew, said that they visited Lucknow’s Kanshi Ram Memorial on Thursday and were disappointed to see Mayawati’s statue alongside that of the founder of the BSP.
“She has taken over the party and made it a private limited company.We will support anyone who can defeat BSP in the upcoming UP elections.He said that we will also campaign against BSP Punjab, which is in alliance with Akali Dal.”
