Kamal Haasan’s upcoming thriller is said to be a remake.The bilingual is being made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.
In Telugu it is titled “Cheekati Rajyam” while in Tamil the title is as “Thoongavanam”.The film features Trisha and Prakash Raj in other major roles.
Telugu actress Madhushalini, too, plays an significant role in the film.Earlier the film was thought to be remake of “Ore Iravu” , a Tamil super hit.But the latest reports say that it is official remake of French film “Nuis Blanche” which mean as ”Sleepless Night”.Directed by Frederic Jardin, the film was released in 2011.
As the title is self-explanatory “Cheekati Rajyam” , the story depicts how a policeman has to save his son and his own reputation in a single night.Apparently, it will showcase the night life and pub culture of metro cities.
Kamal has even roped French stunt choreographers “Gilles Conseil”, “Sylvain Gabet” and “Virgine Arnaud”, who have worked in original one.The stunt team recently shot a high-octane chase sequence on the outer ring road in Hyderabad.Debutant “Rajesh Selva” is holding the megaphone for the first time for this thriller.
