After a lot of dilly-dallying the TRS candidate for Medak By-polls has confirmed by KCR.TRS leader Kotha Prabhakar Reddy is selected to contest for MP Medak Seat.KCR took this decision after having a meeting with Medak TRS leaders.KCR urged party followers and others to support him in winning the elections.
Three names were considered for the candidature till yesterday.Mnay thought that President of Telangana NGOs association G.Deviprasad Rao will get chance as TRS candidate.
The chief minister said Deviprasad’s services will be utilized by nominating him to the state legislative council.
The by-elections to Medak Lok Sabha seat is scheduled on Sep 13.The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is yet to announce its candidate while Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has decided to support its ally.Prabhakar Reddy said he will file his nomination tomorrow early morning.
The bye-election to Medak Lok Sabha seat was necessitated as KCR, who had also won from Gajwel Assembly constituency, became the chief minister and resigned from the Lok Sabha seat.
