Bhubaneswar : , Monday, November 22nd, 2018 – Team Egypt, the 16th and final team that reached Odisha’s capital to participate in the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup Bhubaneswar 20,21. Egypt is in Pool D with other teams like Germany, Argentina and Pakistan.
They have an uphill battle to win in the group stage.
We are striving to be a stronger, better team at the World Cup.Abu-Talib Maggid is the Head Coach for Egypt.
Maggid spoke about the excitement of the team to be at Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium.He said that “all the players are excited for play at a place where they saw the incredible World Cup 2018 being played.”
Egypt’s campaign will kick off against Argentina on November 25, 2015.Coach Maggid answered a question about top competitors for the marquee event and said that “We are at World Cup.” Each team is tough.Every team is respected.We will do our best to show that we are worthy to be treated as such.
Team Spain was earlier in the day, arriving for the tournament on Sunday.Spain is expected to have a difficult start to the tournament, as they are in Pool C with Korea, The Netherlands and the USA.We prepared well, played some matches against Spain’s national team in Europe in summertime, and had some friendlies in Europe.Alejandro Siri (Spain’s Head Coach) stated that we were in “good form.”
Siri, who was excited to participate in the World Cup in this pandemic, said that she is proud to have been invited to Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium.”We are thrilled.”
