Los Angeles, Aug 5 : Actress Christina Ricci in an interview revealed the fact that Johnny Depp was the one who taught her about homosexuality. The actress, 42, was in the film with Depp along with his ex-girlfriend Winona Ryderin’s ‘Mermaids’ in 1990.She revealed that the “Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor explained to her 9-year-old self what homosexuality meant in a conflict on set according to aceshowbiz.com.
In an interview on SiriusXM, she told Andy Cohen: “There was something happening on set and somebody wasn’t being nice to another.They said”Oh it’s okay, he might be homophobic.”
“And then I thought”Well I don’t know what that means.’ Then I was in Winona’s trailer, and she was thinking, ‘I don’t know how to explain it.’ So she placed me on the phone with Johnny and Johnny explained it to me!”
“He was like, ‘It’s the time when the man wants to engage in sex with one of his partners and a woman is looking to get sex with women.’ And I thought”Ah okay! ” Ricci added.
About a decade later, ‘TheAddams Family’ actress was paired together with Johnny once more and was set to team with Johnny in her debut sex scene in “Sleepy hollow,” but she joked she thought the scene was “weird” because she believes of Johnny “like an older brother.”
She said: “Okay.We know enough about one another to laugh at it.He claimed it was like we were joking around like animals.However, the decision was made at an early stage that Johnny and I would never wear a shirt because in the gypsy tradition, women are not allowed to be naked.”
