Kolkata, Nov 24, : , A 15-year old girl was nearly executed by her neighbor on Wednesday, after she allegedly rejected him.Officials said. The incident occurred in Alipurduar’s Khalisamari Village under Falakata Police Station.Swapan Biswas was arrested by the police along with six members of his family.
Ankita Sil, a Parengapar Shishu Kalyan High school student in 10th grade, was getting ready to go to class.
Biswas entered the house carrying a chopper, and slashed the girl’s neck.The girl died instantly.
Biswas, her younger sister, stood next to the victim and warned her to not tell anyone.
According to locals, Biswas was thought to be mentally ill when he walked out of his house and began washing his hands at a roadside water tap.
They attacked Biswas’s home to catch him after the news of Ankita’s murder spread.
The Falakata police station officer-in-charge and a large force rushed to the scene to subdue the mob.
According to police, Biswas had proposed just a few days ago to Ankita but she refused him and he then killed her.
“The girl was almost put to death.She was apparently sliced with a sharp knife at least five to six more times.The head is almost hanging.The police officer stated that they have sent the body to post-mortem and are also looking for the murder weapon.
