Dubai 5th of September : India batter Jemimah Rodrigues, who was 22 on Monday, was shortlisted for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for August 2022 due to her notable contribution in the middle in her team’s rout to win the silver medal in the women’s T20 event of 2022 Commonwealth Games at Edgbaston in Birmingham.In addition to Jemimah, Australians, all-rounder Tahlia McGrath , and batter Beth Mooney have also been nominated for the award for their outstanding contributions with bat and ball for the Meg Lanning-led team to take home the gold medal in women’s T20 cricket’s first appearance in the multi-nation tournament.

Beth’s nomination comes after an impressive set of performances that earned her an Olympic gold medal for Australia.She scored a staggering 167 runs in the three T20Is she played in August.She then followed her half-century in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Final victory earlier in April with an unbeaten score of 62 against India in the gold medal match of the Commonwealth Games.
