Kabul, November 22, : , Officials from Afghanistan’s Nangarhar Province have declared that Jalalabad Airport is open for domestic and international flights.This airport was used as a US military base in Afghanistan for the past 20 years.According to TOLO News, the airport in the capital of the province was forbidden from operating civilian flights after it served as a military base.
Spin Ghar Shahzad (acting director at the airport) stated that technical personnel were being recalled to duty.
We have the technical capabilities to do any type of activity.All technical personnel are present.Shahzad stated that you will be there to witness the flight.” TOLO News quoted Shahzad saying.
“We can assure citizens and the world that the airport will be ready for flights,” stated Sheikh Neda Ahmad of Nangarhar’s security division.
Nangarhar’s residents were happy with the new development.
We were forced to transport our crops from Nangarhar, Afghanistan, to Kabul.The crops could then be sent to other countries.TOLO News quoted Hajji Zalmay as saying that there will be direct flights between Nangarhar and China.
