However, AP CM Jagan concluded his Delhi tour.It is reported that the meeting between the two lasted for over an hour.

On this occasion, issues related to the Kakinada Petro Complex and Visakhapatnam Steel Plant were discussed.Jagan recalled that the AP Reorganization Act stated that a petro complex would be set up at Kakinada SEZ.He said that HPCL and GAIL have agreed to build a joint venture with a capacity of 1 million metric tonnes.According to CM Jagan, DPRs have been prepared for the project, worth Rs 32,900 crore.

Asking the Union Minister to reconsider the decision to privatize the Visakhapatnam steel plant, the CM recalled that the steel plant was, directly and indirectly, employing about 20,000 people.CM Jagan asked the Union minister to allocate mines for the steel plant, convert high-interest loans into low-interest loans and asked to convert loans into equity.

However, the Union minister responded positively to CM Jagan’s requests and assured that they will reconsider the decision.
