The Polavaram is a key project that people are looking for in Andhra Pradesh.It is also included in the State Bifurcation Act.It is claimed to be a national project of the Central Government.With this, every rupee spent on this project has to be given by the Center.

The Central Water Energy Department has ruled that the delay in the Polavaram works was true.Union Minister of State for Water Resources Bishweshwar gave a written reply to a question posed by TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar in the Rajya Sabha.
The minister also said that there was a delay in the rehabilitation compensation and works due to technical reasons.It is noteworthy that the minister said that there is no funding problem for the project.
