Bambolim (Goa), November 22 : .Hyderabad FC will host Chennaiyin FC Tuesday, at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim.
This stadium is also their home this season. Manolo Martquez’s team started pre-season back in September in Hyderabad.
They have played tough sides such as Salgaocar FC and Churchill Brothers.In pre-season friendlies, they also tested their skills against ISL side Mumbai City and NorthEast United.
These friendlies, according to HFC’s head coach, are crucial for the teams prior to starting their competitive season.He stated, “Pre-season games can be another training session.But for staff and players it’s better to play these games in order to get into the matchday routine.”
I don’t believe scores in these games are very important.Manolo said that while the results can give an indication of where we are at, what matters is how we’re improving and playing in our own style.
Chennaiyin finished eighth in the points table in last season’s points table, nine points behind HFC in fifth.
They have made a lot of changes in their roster since then, including the appointment of a Head Coach.Bozidar Bandovic, a Montenegrin coach, took over the club in July.
He will be looking to start afresh this season.
Vladimir Koman and Lukasz Gkiewicz are new faces in Indian football.
They could be a danger to Manolo’s team.
For Hyderabad FC, however, Javi Siverio and Joel Chianese along with Indian superstars like Halicharan Narzary and Mohammad Yasir all performed well in preseason games.
This will present Manolo Marquez with a difficult selection task.

Hyderabad FC won a second victory over Chennaiyin FC with victories of 2-0 and 4-1 in previous campaigns.
This clash will be difficult for both teams, however, as the opposition dugout has changed.
