ISL 2021-22: Bengaluru FC register 4-2 win against NorthEast United

Margao : , November 20th, 2018 – In an exciting contest, Bengaluru defeated NorthEast United FC 4-2, in the second match at the Athletic Stadium of the 2021-22 Indian Super League.This was on Saturday.
Cleiton Silva (14) and Jayesh Rane (42) were the Bengaluru FC fireworks, while Deshorn Brown (17’), Mathias Coureur (25) scored for the Highlanders with Mashoor Shireef (22’ OG), who unfortunately lost his net.

Brown nearly provided the opening act of the evening with an acrobatic attempt within the first minute.Although NorthEast United was dominant during the first exchanges, the game began to open around the quarter-hour mark.

It was an entertaining 11 minutes with four goals at each end.To start, Silva, a Brazilian goal man, made the most of Udanta Sing’s build up play to score a great goal.

Deshorn Brown would have his turn in the match three minutes later.

VP Suhair, on the left flank found Brown and with a precise first touch, he smashed in the net to level the score.

NorthEast was then in serious trouble.

Ashique Kuruniyan shot the ball from close range.It bounced off the crossbar, and it was back in play.

Mashoor Shereef scored an own goal instead of clearing the ball.

Mathias Coureur, a new signing made amends to his former teammate.

Suhair again set the stage for Coureur’s move to place it on the second attempt of asking.Coureur equalised for the second night in a row.

Sunil Chhetri was desperate to be in the action but he missed a chance.Jayesh Rane, right before the half-time break, drove down a left footer to score the fifth goal.

NorthEast was visibly at the second best after the break.Chhetri was denied an opportunity before Sehnaj Singh was brought in.Khalid Jamil looked at the bench to gain the experience.

Late on, the game became a battle of tactics with both teams making multiple substitutions that impeded the flow.

One more bit was left.Alan Costa’s long ball reached Prince Ibarra.

He cut in style and completed the deal.Bengaluru was able to keep the score at bay and scored all three points.
