It seems that his fellow comrades from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf are dissatisfied after riding alongside him for several turbulent years.The speaker of Pakistani National Assembly was forced to call a temporary halt to allow the PTI leader to vote on two crucial bills.Khan clearly was not happy.Even his key allies, the Prime Minister, had abandoned him.This episode has led to speculation within the Pakistani Army that it has abandoned its Project Imran Khan.
The opposition parties quickly praised the Pakistani Army chief General Qamar Javed Bjwa for recognizing the new political trends that were developing.
The General was praised for manipulating the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local elections, where the eight-party anti-Imran Khan alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement won the victory over the ruling PTI.
“Imran Khan’s ruling came about as a result rigging of 2018 but this year, the bureaucracy and MNAs were all of the ruling party.However, when the “forces” withdrew everyone saw the results of local government elections,” stated Maulana Fazlur, President of PDM.She was referring to military establishment.
The PDM now calls for nationwide protests against Imran Khan’s re-election by March 23rd, Pakistan Day.”This will be the Day of Liberation from Incompetent Imran Kan” and “People from all parts of Pakistan will travel to Islamabad to join the protest against poverty, inflation, and unemployment.” thundred Rehman.
Pakistani observers say that the country is experiencing rapid changes.
The military establishment is now clear in indicating that it cannot support Imran Khan anymore without destroying its support base.
Najam Sethi (the veteran editor-in-chief of The Friday Times) stated that negotiations between the military establishment and the ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and Shehbaz Sharif, had yielded positive outcomes.

Pakistani observers claim that Nawaz Sharif has been convicted.He will now be imprisoned upon his return.
Sethi observes that Nawaz Sharif knows this but may have received some assurance from Pakistan’s army chief.
Three days earlier, Asif Ali Zardari (ex-President and Co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party) claimed that he received “feelers” (military elite) to help him plan for Pakistan’s future without Imran Khan.Zardari claims that he said to his callers, “no talks are possible until the Imran Khan government is sent packing.”
Already in the minority is the Imran Khan-led government, which faces a massive backlash across all political spectrums over surging inflation and increasing debt, as well as purported misgovernance by Pakistan.The PTI party, which has only 156 members of the 342-member National Assembly, is heavily dependent on support from other smaller disgruntled parties and the Pakistani military elite.In this current scenario, Imran Khan will die if Zardari’s PPP and Nawaz Sharif’s PML-N join forces and file a motion of no confidence against the ruling party.
