The core concept of his latest Super Hit ‘iSmart Shankar’ is also directly lifted from a Hollywood movie Criminal and a British science-fiction thriller iBoy.Now all eyes are on his next film ‘Fighter (tentative title)’ starring Vijay Devarakonda.
According to film sources, the film is about an upcoming boxing champion who initially struggles to show his talent.Most films on sports backdrop have the same theme where the Hero would be an underdog at the beginning, gets a renowned and strict coach at the middle, and becomes a champion at the end.
Puri himself made Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi with the same theme on boxing.However, Hero, mother and father characters had come out well and impressed the audience.
Accordingly, Puri is applying the same thought on Fighter now.
The film reports say, renowned Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi is essaying the father role for Vijay Devarakonda, and he is also a retired boxer in the film.Besides, Ramya Krishna appears as the mother to Vijay.Listening to the news, film lovers have already guessed that Fighter is going to be 2.0 version of ANOT.That means, Puri is free-making his own film.
