Al-Sadr addressed losing parties to the election, saying “the world saw the integrity of these elections.Your loss shouldn’t be a prelude towards ending and ruining democracy in Iraq.”

According to the cleric, the roadmap contained several conditions, such as that “the parties who wish to be part of the government must hold their corrupted persons accountable” and that all uncontrolled arm groups must surrender their arms to the Hashd Shaabi force, under the command of Mustafa al-Kadhimi (commander-in-chief for the Iraqi forces).

The agreement also stated that parties must “severe all foreign relations so that Iraq retains its prestige and independence and that they do not interfere with the affairs of neighboring countries in order to save Iraq from unnecessary wars.”
