New Delhi, Nov 30, : .Just hours before the IPL 2022 retention list was announced, franshies bid farewell to their players on Tuesday by thanking them for all their contributions over the years.
The deadline for player retention has passed for the eight franchises and the BCCI will announce the retention list via a broadcaster.

Each team can keep a maximum of four players.This includes three Indians and two foreigners.Many players may not be able to play again for the same franchise, making it a very emotional moment for both franchises and cricketers.

Five-time champions Mumbai Indians gave a touching farewell to their players.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is looking for a new captain to lead the next season.They said they will always be a close family and will cherish fond memories.

“All of us won’t be together at RCB next season, due to the challenge the auction throws us.But we will always be a loved family and treasure fond memories.RCB tweeted, “Once an RCBian.Always an RCBian,” and they are likely to keep Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who didn’t have a great IPL season last year, are planning to retain Kane Williamson and Abdul Samad.

DC are likely to keep Rishabh Pan, Prithvi Shaw and Anrich Nortje ahead of next season.

After the eight legacy franchises have confirmed their retention, the two new teams of Lucknow and Ahmedabad can purchase three players from the remaining players heading for the auction pool.
